Rwandans and other Congolese who speak Kinyarwanda in Goma are again reportedly said to have been abused by the Congolese army and Police who accused them to be members of M23.
Violence started after M23 rebels retreated from Goma city.
News have been announced by a Rwandese who has told the Local newspaper that he has been abused by the Congolese Army from December 4 and he was released later after handing about $100.
Mahoro Azarias confirmed that he was arrested and Jailed in an underground place located in Goma.
“They took me and forced me into an underground Jail. During that time they beat me.”
Mahoro was working as a cross border trader between Rwanda and Congo. All his merchandise was seized.
Mahoro added that a number of Rwandans have been arrested and are still jailed in the same area.
Other Congolese who speak Kinyarwanda were also arrested.
Another Congolese who spoke to the media confirmed the abuses accusing Congolese Army to be behind the Violence.
