Dr.Radjabu Mbukani pictured above went missing from 29th December, 2012. Family members had mounted a search until yesterday when the body was found at Kanyinya in Nyarugenge district.
Faida Justine the mother of the deceased lecturer told IGIHE Dr. Mbukani had gone to visit his wife and children, and since then he didn’t return.
“When he reached to his wife’s home, he found his wife with other men, and from that date Radjab didn’t returned home,” Faida said.
Faida remembers that previously someone came around Dr. Radjab’s house and there after that person was suspected to be a killer leading him to police arrest.
As his son did not come home after the visit he made to his children in Nyamirambo, Faida wrote a detailed letter to the Inspector General of Police with copies to the Minister of Defence, the Prosecutor General of the Republic, and the Commissioner of the Department of Criminal Investigations.
In the letter, she pointed out that his son; Dr. Radjabu was worried for his safety after the assassination attempt.

Supt Theos Badege, the spokesman of the National Police said he was aware of the disappearance of the doctor that the investigation is continuing in this regard.
He further stated that the police have arrested a suspect linked to the murder.
It has been over five months since Dr. Radjabu Mbukani living apart with Louise Muhire, their two children live with their mother, a student at ULK (Université Libre de Kigali).
