{{Miss Rwanda Akiwacu Colombe has April 21st joined Orphans of the genocide against Tutsi in Rwamagana to mark the 20th commemoration of genocide.
Akiwacu told IGIHE that the event is organised in collaboration with the ‘United Family’ association of Youth and Orphans of the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.
According to Miss Akiwacu, the commemoration will also include walk to remember from rwamagana town to AVEGA multipurpose hall. Later there will be drama, Films on genocide, testimonies from various survivors and messages of hope and encouragement.
In her message, Miss Akiwacu noted, “iam a Rwandan; I feel it’s my my responsibility to commemorate and honour the genocide victims. I should also encourage the youth to always give value to our history”.}}
