Uwacu was speaking Saturday in Kigali during training in leadership that was organized by 4HER, a local non-profit organization. .
The training brought together female students and women in leadership positions to share experiences along the development journey.
Uwacu hailed the event organisers for linking female students with people whom they consider as their role models and urged students to benefit from advantages the country offers with them.
“As the President of Republic always reminds us, youth should lead in change and national development,” she said.
She said that problems that youth face are not far complicated as those their parents faced.
“There are many advantages, so, they should put in mind that they are there to develop the country. It means that national leadership and future of the country among others are in the hands of youth,” she noted.
Mulindi Cynthia, 4HER coordinator told IGIHE that the training aimed at explaining youth on women potentials basing on testimonies from those who have become successful.
“Today, we wanted to show students how they can become successful leaders, how others made it and challenges one could face in the journey of becoming a leader,” she said.
Imbuto Foundation Director General, Sandrine Umutoni said that the training was crucial for youth female to get advised on ways to tackle challenges that can ruin their future dreams.
The training was attended by 70 female leaders.
