The Ministry of Sports and Culture has lauded every person who played a role in the good preparations of CHAN that was concluded last Sunday.
The tournament organized by CAF took place between 16th January and 7th February, 2016.
DRC’s Leopards took the title after beating Mali 3 -0 during the finals.
Through her twitter account, the Minister of Sports and Culture, Uwacu Julienne said “I congratulate all of you who played a role in the good preparations of CHAN 2016.”
It was the first time Rwanda hosted this tournament.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has hinted on Rwanda hosting the CAN championship.
The concluded CHAN tournament was held at four stadiums including Amahoro stadium, Nyamirambo, Huye and Umuganda stadium in Rubavu district.
