Jonathan McKinstry is set to extend his contract with FERWAFA, signing two more years as the Amavubi coach though he did not fulfill take the team to 50th position of FIFA monthly ranking.
Jonathan whose first contract expired, started coaching Amavubi in March 2015.
He revealed yesterday that he will continue to coach Amavubi and his is supposed to have signed the contract in three days.
“I am waiting to sign the contract. We have already agreed on everything. I will have signed the two year contract within three days,” he said.
Before Jonathan’s coaching services, Rwanda was at the 64th position of monthly FIFA ranking compared to the current 85th position.
He is expected to take Amavubi to the African football championship which Rwanda last attended in 2004.
