Masons Urged on Proper Conduct

{{The federation of workers unions in Rwanda (CESTRAR) has urged masons to exhibit professionalism ensuring on-job safety while carrying out their duties to extend a better image.}}

The call was made by deputy executive secretary Biraboneye Africain told over 600 masons gathered at the event to ensure safety while on their jobs at construction sites.

Over 600 masons had gathered in Rwamagana district April 25 at the launch of an association of masons in Rwamagana district also known as STECOMA ({Syndicat des Travailleurs de Construction , Menuiserie et Artisanat}).

The event was organised by CESTRAR.

He also urged the masons to wear protective gear including helmets, gloves, boots, overall coats while at construction sites.

The masons were encouraged to always deliver services as agreed upon with clients such that they can maintain a professional and positive image and win trust from various clients.

Uwimana Nehemie the Mayor of Rwamagana advised the masons to adopt a culture of saving so that they can invest later for a better future.

“The money you obtain from your work should not be wasted. It should be invested wisely for a better future”.

STECOMA seeks to reorganize masons within Rwamagana and ensure their methods of operation are improved including the general image of masons.

Habyarimana Evariste, the STECOMA deputy executive secretary advised the masons to adhere to the association rules and regulations and ensure proper conduct while executing their work at various construction sites.
