A 27 years Old man has been shot dead by a security officer in Musanze District while he was on the way to show police a group of thugs whom residents say cause insecurity in the area.
IGIHE has learned that Assumani Muhuzamiryango was under police custody after he was arrested on Friday for his allegedly involvement in several acts of robbery.
Police Spokesperson CIP Andre Hakizimana told this website that “Muhuzamiryango was shot dead at the time he was on his way to show police other accomplices whose group is called “Abanyarirenga”, a group of thugs known in burglary acts.” in Cyuve sector of Musanze District.
Police explained that at the arrival to the site where he was expected to show where are other thugs he preferred to run trying to escape and hence he was shot at 30 meters on the run.
His body was immediately rushed to Hospital.
