Man’s body found in Nyarutarama

{A body of young male has this morning been found behind a house in Bannyahe locality of Kangondo village, Nyarutarama cell of Remera sector, Kigali city, suspected to have been killed and dumped by people with whom they shared alcohol last night.}

The police spokesperson in Kigali city, Sp Hitayezu Emanuel has told IGIHE that the young man may have been killed by people with whom they shared beer last night adding that investigations are ongoing to identify the cause of death.

“We have received information early this morning that a young man’s corpse lays on a slope somewhere in Kangondo. We arrived and identified it is apparent that he fell off the steep land fleeing. Information from eyewitnesses confirms that there are people who shared a drink last night and then fought between midnight and 1:00 am,” he said.

He said that two men that are suspected to have fought with him have been arrested and being held at Remera police station as investigations get underway.The detained suspects claim to have been rescuing other than fighting with the deceased.

The body has been taken to Kacyiru police hospital for autopsy.
