Innocent Rwangano 51, a resident of Kavumu Sector in Rutsiro District committed suicide on November 26, apparently due to family misunderstandings.
According to neighbours, the father of seven is believed to have committed suicide using a rope after he allegedly had misunderstanding with his wife.
According to Supt. Urbain Mwiseneza, Police Spokesperson Western Region, such cases are as a result or “cowardice or ignorance.”
“Life is precious and irreplaceable, once a person puts an end to it, the whole family suffers, both financial and socially,” observed Supt. Mwiseneza.
He appealed to communities to help such troubled families by either advising them to resolve their issues amicably or seek legal assistance or by providing such information to relevant authorities.
He further urged citizens to always uphold their dignity and avoid putting their lives to waste.
“Such lives are needed not only by their families but also the entire country.”
