Bizumuremyi was arrested while on a motorcycle heading to Ngororero district in Sovu sector following a tip off from area residents.
Police sources from Ngororero District indicate that Bizumuremyi was on the run from Rutsiro where he had escaped with similar charges of illegal mineral mining.
Bizumuremyi is now under Police custody in Ngororero.
