Make, pursue smart sustainable choices: Minister Nsengimana

{ The Minister of Youth and ICT, Philbert Nsengimana has commended the youth’s decision of having voted “YES” in the just concluded referendum. Nsengimana conveyed the message yesterday to more than 3000 youth from around the country that converged in Kigali to launch the ‘Youth Connekt Convention 2015, where he called on youth to make good decisions for their bright future. }

“Choices take part of daily lives. We have made good decision of voting for constitutional reforms. Your preferences determine your day, weeks, year and your life as well. The choices of Rwandans reflect our values. As youth you should continue making and pursuing smart sustainable choices,” he said.

He said that unity, good governance, development and being visionary are choices that Rwandans have decided to pursue under President Paul Kagame and a path they will continue to tread. He requested youth to be self reliant, understand that they hold the future of the country and avoid people who want to misinterpret their history.

“As youth, you must own your future in your hands, become self reliant which means you must not allow anyone to determine your destiny,” he said.

The mayor City of Kigali city, Fidèle Ndayisaba also appealed on the youth to use their strength in gainful activities for them and the country in general. Youth Connekt Convention was launched in 2012 by President Paul Kagame with the major objective of allowing youth engagement in performance contracts while playing a role in the country’s development.
