Local Defense forces in Nyamasheke District have been urged to be good examples by assuring safety in their localities.
The call was made during a 5-day workshop held in Nyamasheke District of Western Province of Rwanda.
The Mayor of Nyamasheke District, Habyarimana Jean Baptiste talked about qualities of a good Local Defense point out that the later should be a person who is well informed about Government programs.
He urged them to maintain a good image between them and local citizens.
They were also urged to desisit from any corruption undertakings and other acts affecting the rights of citizens.
Habyarimana asked local Defense forces to create jobs that may later help them to sustain their socio economic life.
