Liquid Telecom sponsoring 3 start-ups based in Rwanda in the Africa Tech Summit

Africa Tech Summit Kigali is supported by the Rwandan Ministry for ICT and sponsored by, amongst others, Liquid Telecom. The summit brings together leaders from the African ecosystem, international players and investors who want to drive growth in Africa.

It will provide unrivalled insight, networking and business opportunities – and explore the latest trends with 90 expert speakers from across the continent delivering keynotes, panels and breakout sessions

Some key personalities like Ben Roberts, chief technical and innovation officer for Liquid Telecom, will be participating in a panel discussion: Connectivity – Unlocking A World Of New Opportunities alongside Kojo Boakye from Facebook and Erik Hersman from BRCK.

Roberts will be discussing why ‘Africa’s Cloud is Liquid’ and how Africa will see many ‘cloud first’ ICT systems developed for businesses just as many Africans have experienced ‘mobile first’ in connectivity.

Also participating in the pannel discussion is Oswald Jumira, Group Head of Innovation Partnerships for Liquid Telecom. He leads Liquid Telecom’s African Innovation Partnerships initiative which is helping African innovation hubs, startups and academic institutions to develop emerging technologies, such as cloud, data science and internet of things leveraging Liquid Telecom’s infrastructure and pan-African presence.
