Ngoma District Mayor, Aphrodise Nambaje told IGIHE that the incident happened at around 11:00pm and 12:00am.
“It happened in the downpour of yesterday night which rained until the morning, no person’s life has been claimed” he said.
He added that it is not the first time such incident took place in the region and urged residents to install thunder arresters in their homes so as to avoid same ordeal in the future.
On Sunday, lightning struck four people, two died instantly and two were injured in Gicumbi District of Northern Province.
