To be able to buy the product outside the country, most of Ngoma Traders pay Translation costs.
They said that when they go to buy goods in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya, they are unable to easily communicate in English and Swahili and even luganda.
Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania predominantly communicate in English and Swahili languages.
However, Rwandans have always communicated in Kinyarwanda a language quite unpopular in major East African countries.
Rwanda being landlocked has always traded with East Africa.
Thus Rwandan traders are asking the Government of Rwanda to facilitate them in understanding Swahili and English languages as encouraging those who are able to invest in teaching languages to local communities.
The Mayor of Ngoma District, Nambaje Aphrodise has promised to scale up efforts in teaching Swahili and English in the area to facilitate residents in trading with neighboring countries.
