{Genocide Orphans under Peace and Hope Initiative Organization have moved to supporting vulnerable children and vulnerable People from Kinyinya Genocide Survivors Village. }

It was done on Saturday 13th Dec 2014 during an event dubbed “Make a Wish to Vulnerable children” organized as a part of celebrating Christmas with orphans and needy people living in that village.
The Peace and Hope Initiative Organization planned such event after it was found that many young vulnerable people are at risk of running away from home during festival period and that can result in many other unbearable risks.
Peace and Hope Initiative recalls that before the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi Rwandans used to come together and share Christmas meal while at the same time upholding their unity as well as helping one another.
Sending best Christmas wishes and New Year 2015 to the community living Kinyinya Genocide Survivors village is a recap of bringing back the culture of unity so that no one thinks he was left behind hence no need to celebrate such events.

During the event children studying in Peace and Hope Nursery School were given milk as a symbol of the legacy of love and wealth, but also it was an opportunity to celebrate with their families and other guests.

Commenting on life of Genocide survivors, the CEO of Peace and Hope Initiative Albert Musabyimana said that despite many hardships among genocide survivors some of their children have completed their studies even if they had to assume a role of parenting their young brothers and sisters who actually needed to be parented.
Throughout his speech, Musabyimana recounted how he and colleagues managed to study and successfully completed their studies for that he took such occasion to remind that “Studying is the foundation of the development and wellbeing of human being and its surroundings”.
He said that basing on their experiences he and colleagues decided to start an organization that supports vulnerable children by enabling them to enroll in nursery school as way to prepare them for a better future.
He says “Although we had many problems in our families as we were even to look after them, we studied and completed our studies. We decided to help our brothers and sisters to enrolling in Nursery school because; previously a child in the age of going to school was unable and preferred to go in hard labor like sand mining. Even parents had no means to prevent their children to engage in such shocking activities. That’s how we started thinking about establishing the Peace and Hope Initiative to support them.”
