{The body of King Kigeli V Ndahindurwa has arrived in Rwanda, four days after American judge in Virginia of the USA ruled his body be returned and interred in Mwima of Nyanza where he was crowned King and last funerary customs will be performed. }
It has been flown in aboard Ethiopian Airlines to Kigali International Airport where it was received by the Minister of Sports and Culture and the coordinator of National Academy of Language and Culture ,Dr. Vuningoma James at around 13:40 hours and left the airport at 14 hours.
Getting Kigeli’s body to Kigali has been done in secrecy with few employees at Kigali International Airport being in the loop.
The King’s casket has been taken to Mwima in Nyanza.
Dr James Vuningoma has said that the government of Rwanda has been waiting for consensus of King Kigeli’s family adding that ‘it is our honour as Rwandans to have the body of the king returned to Rwanda.’
