Kigali City Schools Inspections Continue

Kigali City authorities have started inspecting schools aimed at assessing the quality of education in Kigali based schools and identifying how schools are using Education Values to promote and develop Rwanda’s Education Sector.

Two firsts Schools that will rank in best performers will receive an Extra Prize.

The city council Department in charge of conducting the inspection activities launched its visits on January 22, to various schools located in Kimihurura and Kacyiru Sectors.

The inspections in these sectors were focused on infrastructure development, administration, School materials and many others.

However, some schools including; G S Kacyiru II, ES Kacyiru and GS Rugando, still lack quality Education, low Hygiene, lack of planning of lessons and many other problems.

La Colombière, was commended for its higher performance in safety and quality education.

The School also performed well in National Examinations.

The inspections have found that schools have improved, however the city inspector of schools, Marthe Yankurije, has uged schools that are lacking to report their problems to the Ministry of Education so that they can have necessary Education materials.
