The newly introduced machine, Rollover, is controlled by a computer to wash and dry cars in a system called Touchless Automatic Car Wash.
Rollover machine is equipped with five brushes sharing the cleaning task, two of which are set to clean tyres while three others brush about, tidying, followed by drying, both of which are completed in a span of five minutes.
The first of its kind in Rwanda, Rollover is located in Ntaraga, Rwezamenyo sector, Nyarugenge district, was introduced by LEDAT Company Ltd.
In an interview with IGIHE, Jackson Runezerwa, the CEO of LEDAT revealed that Rollover has a control panel that helps to monitor every activity the machine has to do. “Our employee coordinates all activities of the Rollover machine including the command of needed quantity of soap,” he said.
Runezerwa who has been running various businesses in foreign countries has revealed that the new introduced technology is popular in Europe , America, Asia and few African countries. He added that the idea of bringing this technology to Rwanda emerged from the way Rwanda is fast adopting new technologies for better services and national development.
“The new car washing technology is cheap and fast. A lot of time is saved, enabling car owners to engage all their time in production,” he said.
LEDAT car wash has the capacity of cleaning 150 vehicles including motorbikes, small cars and trucks within eight hours. Runezerwa said that LEDAT has an environment friendly mechanism that involves a water recycling system.
