The director of Kibogora Hospital, Nyamasheke district, Dr Nsabimana Damien has been arrested along with three hospital officials; administrator, Kadogo Aimable, the accountant-Izabiliza Bernadette and the in charge of nutritional department.
They were arrested yesterday, as confirmed by the police spokesperson Western province, IP Jean Damascene Ngemanyi, without revealing the reason for their arrest but are detained at Ntendezi police station.
According to information IGIHE has received, the hospital administrators are suspected of misappropriating hospital funds. A financial audit was recently carried out of Kibogora hospital books of accounts.
