Kenyan parliamentarians laud Rwanda on decentralization

{A delegation of parliamentarians from Kenya has lauded the Rwandan model of addressing leadership related challenges through the principles and values of decentralization. }

The parliamentarians who were on a working visit to Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) were received and briefed Prof. Shyaka Anastase, CEO of RGB, on how different governments institutions have been empowered to boost delivery of services to the citizenry and support the private sector through the provision of enabling infrastructures.

The head of delegation John Kihagi, noted that the government of Kenya will pick key lessons from the Rwanda decentralization implementation model especially in relation to connecting government institutions with ordinary citizens for easy access to public services.

Visiting parliamentarians have commended RGB’s efforts in enhancing services delivery to Rwandans and for the pivotal role it plays in creating vibrant collaborations and complimentary relations between politicians, civil society and religious organizations.
