Kenyan Education Secretary Visits Mount Kenya University Rwanda

Prof. Magoha praised the University for putting up a state of the art facility in Kicukiro district and offering programmes that addresses the human capital needs for Rwanda.

He said the campus was making a very practical and significant contribution to Rwanda’s reconstruction process by offering courses such as nursing, tailored to spur economic growth and social integration among different communities in Rwanda.

He urged the University to invest more in the area of Science Education. The Education Secretary was happy to note that Mount Kenya University is playing a key role in improving access to Higher Education in both Kenya and Rwanda and attracting students beyond the region.

“MKUR is playing an important role in providing all the necessary resources to students while also improving the access to Higher Education in both Kenya and Rwanda,” Prof. Magoha observed

He praised Rwandan President His Excellency Paul Kagame for his stewardship and the country’s fast economic growth following the political instability in early 1990.

Prof. Magoha added that the country is on the right track of development and registering an impressive economic growth.
