The Mayor of Karongi District Kayumba Bernard disclosed that over Frw5Billion will be used to construct the modern bus terminal.
Trade and tourism are among the factors that are contributing to the economic progress in Karongi district, officials have said.
The District has thus embarked on infrastructure development to strengthen the progress.
The Mayor added that karongi district is strategically located in western province.
He noted that all development infrastructures will boost the visibility of the District adding that they are waiting for a new road via Karongi to Rubavu, the later will be a key to development.
