His body was seen and retrieved on Saturday 26th February 2022.
The executive secretary of Runda sector, Rafiki Mwizerwa has told IGIHE that the man had crossed the river to spend the evening at a bar in a nearby business center.
He explained that the search began soon as the man’s wife notified village leader about the disappearance.
“He had gone to spend the evening in a business center on the other side of the river as do other residents. In the morning, her wife alerted local leaders that her husband did not return home. They launched search and found him in river,” Mwizerwa said.
The body was retrieved through collaboration with Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) and other relevant authorities.
