Kagame walks Kigali on foot

Yesterday evening around 4:00 pm a few people who were standing near the former headquarters of Radio Rwanda were surprised to see President Paul Kagame walking on foot and requested to have a picture with him which he gladly accepted.

It is rare for president to walk on foot though he sometimes stops his car to greet citizens in any location.

Some memories left in people’s minds include the event of 4th July 2015 when he got out of his car at Nyabugogo to greet the masses. He was coming from celebrations of the liberation day in Gicumbi district.

Some people’s emotions run high to the extent that they wept while others threw up their arms, singing ‘Muzehe wacu.” He did the same later when he stopped in Remera taxi park to greet passengers.

Yesterday, he walked from Serena Hotel to MINECOFIN and former headquarters of I&M Bank.

Individuals who were around the fuel station were allowed to stand with him for souvenir photographs.
