The new modern market named “Marie merci modern Market’’ is valued at Frw3Billion located at Kabeza, Kanombe sector in Kicukiro district.
Paul Jules Ndamage the district mayor told IGIHE that traders have been sensitized for a long period to relocate from the old market to the new and modern market.
The land on which the old Kabeza market is located will be used to establish a modern shopping mall.
Other traders in the area have also been requested to conduct their business in gazette markets in the area.
More markets will be constructed in the district including one by Kanombe Traders to be known as Kanombe Commercial Shopping Mall.
