{The Minister of Defense, General James Kabarebe has said that working together without promoting any form of discrimination led to Rwanda’s victory over the war in Democratic Republic of Congo. }
He said that Rwanda Defense Force was challenged with shortage of soldiers to the extent that it recruited former infiltrators but ended up with victory and called on the youth to take a leaf from such experience.
Gen. Kabarebe noted this as he addressed youth attending civic education dubbed “Inkomezamihigo” under the auspices of Itorero Urunana rw’Urungano on 13th December 2016 where he asked them to keep away from discrimination but rather work towards building togetherness for a better Rwanda.
The minister took the youth through the hardships the RDF went through in the DRC wars, emphasizing it was patriotism and commitment that led to a series of victories.
He called upon the youth to pick some lessons from such unwavering zeal.
