In his remarks, President Kagame commended the leaders for the hard work and urged them to continue to work together to build the nation.
The Head of State also called for tougher measures against road accidents and trafficking in persons, especially girls.
He called upon every Rwandan to take a stance against trafficking of young girls.
“Ending trafficking of girls goes beyond law enforcement authorities. It should not be left to police alone to handle. Every Rwandan should take a stance against the trafficking of young girls,” the Head of State said.
While speaking on the recent fatal road accidents, he noted that the life of every individual is too valuable to be lost adding that there is need to put an end to it.
“We are here to fulfill our responsibility to the Rwandan people and ensure development of our nation Rwanda,” he noted.
Prior to his appointment by President Kagame in June, DIGP Marizamunda was Head of the Department of Peace Support Operations in Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF).
The 49-year old father of four holds a Bachelor Degree in Social and Military Sciences and a Master Degree in Governance and Leadership from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
He has also done all military career courses up to the Senior Command and Staff Course, which he completed last year at Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.
