{As Rwanda marks the 22nd commemoration of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, Rwandan Diaspora in Italy and their friends have, too, commemorated with a pledge to uproot genocide ideology through collaborative efforts. }
The commemoration event was organized on April 8th, 2016 in Palazzo Mattei di Giove, the capital city of Roma.
The leader of Rwandan Diaspora in Italy, Marie Claire Safari, requested participants to join efforts in fighting genocide ideology to avoid reoccurrence of tragedies that devastated Rwandan in 1994.
The event was also attended by various leaders from Italy and the representative of Rwanda in Italy, Dr Francesco Alicicco.
