Rwanda’s Minister of Infrastructure James Musoni has, on Tuesday Sept. 16, signed performance contracts/imihigo with the board members and managing directors from the ministry agencies.
The performance contracts contained the strong commitments meant to improve the level of performance as the key step to reach vision 2020 and economic development.
The ministry of infrastructure is in charge of water and sanitation, transport, housing and urbanization infrastructure development in Rwanda where it operates with agencies to facilitate and quicken their projects among them are REG, WASC, RTDA, RHA, RCAA and many others.
In his remarks Musoni urged them to be more committed for a better tomorrow’s infrastructure development as a new pillar of focus and concentration.
He called upon senior managers to work hard and be result oriented in line with the ministry mission.
“Economic planning, Implementation, Efficiency being responsive on challenges and finding solutions should be our guidelines,” he added.
He also said, the ministry is working on the water problem in Kigali and very soon will be solved.
Musoni revealed that 50% of electricity will be added on the current circulation of power in the country.
The performance contracts signed will drive the development of customer focused initiatives and development of policies and strategies concerning national infrastructure in line with regional integration.
