Following investigations about service delivery among different institutions in Rwanda, the Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien Habumuremyi has cautioned again Rwandan Hotels, restaurants and bars to improve service delivery to customers.

In a meeting held 3rd January, 2013, Habumuremyi said any hotel should show all the services it delivers to customers.

He added that very soon there should be establishment of electronic billboard which will allow customers to guess which services, when and where it is delivered.

It was urged that Rwandan Hotels must be clean (with special emphasis to the areas like kitchen, stores…) and also assuring good customer relations.

Hotel owners vowed to employ professionals as well as exploiting the benefits of new technologies like e-booking, check in/ out and “e-payment system”.

They added that wireless internet connection inside and outside of Hotel will be available to all customers.

The Minister said there should be continuous assessment to see how service delivery is improving and those who will fail to comply with the regulations will face punishments.
