Hope Kids Academy to Support Genocide Survivors in GS Kagugu

{{Hope Kids Academy has auctioned different items valued at Frw900,000 that will be used to support children from vulnerable families that survived the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.}}

The items were collected from children’s parents that took the initiative of supporting Genocide survivors as Rwanda prepares for the commemoration of 19th Anniversary of the 1994 Genocide that killed about a million of Tutsi.

Isa Yilmaz, director of Hope Kids Academy, told reporters that the goods collected and auctioned included; two footballs, decorations, dolls, clothes, bicycles, shoes, Tickets for Turkish Airlines and many other items.

Isa said most of the beneficiaries who will be supported are vulnerable children studying in GS Kagugu located in Gasabo District.

Among the participants in the auction, there was Amavubi Coach who won a Turkish Airline ticket that will allow him to travel in one of the European Countries.

“Rwandan-Turkish International Schools, Hope Kids Academy” is a private non-profit organization run by RECA LTD Education from Turkey.

HKA at becoming one of Rwanda’s premier independent international schools within two years. It is going to expand into a high school within two years, and later into a university within next five years.
