{Saturday 6th December was Mining Day and Hope Academy Rwanda celebrated with a visit to Wolfram Mining and Processing Ltd. The students presented gifts of flowers to the workers; the State Minister for Minerals, Evode Imena; and Jean Malic Kalima, the owner of Wolfram Mining and Processing Ltd in celebration of the special day.}
The students saw the tunnels and facilities of the mining company, as well as the steps involved in the process of extracting wolfram. Students and staff alike were fascinated by the scientific methods used by the miners and it undoubtedly added to their enthusiasm for science. Hope Academy Rwanda is grateful to all who made the trip possible and especially thank the Minister for taking the time out to meet with them.
