The deceased is a child hailing from Kigeyo sector whose body has been found in River Nkora.
The executive secretary of Mushonyi sector, Jean Pierre Mwenedata has said that the rain also destroyed bridges.
“One of ravaged bridges is totally destroyed that it requires to start construction activities from scratch. Others are not severely destroyed that they will be renovated through community work,” he said.
Mwenedata explained that the rain also caused landslides, destroyed residents’ houses where an assessment to estimate the value of ravaged properties is ongoing.
