GT Bank saddened by the untimely death of its Employee

{Guaranty Trust Bank (Rwanda) Ltd is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of one its employee’s, Richard Mazimpaka who passed away yesterday, 3rd December 2014. }

In a communiqué, the Bank says “It comes as a shock to us all especially because Richard was a very promising employee who had progressed in the Bank to become Head of Operations by the time of his passing. More importantly we are left with grief because he was a kind-hearted gentleman who took time to listen to all and was readily available when needed.”

“We would also like to send our deepest condolences to Richard’s family during this difficult time. The family will have our full support. “

Richard Mazimpaka commenced his career at the bank in 2009 as Operations Manager. Through his dedication and hard work he quickly progressed to establish himself as a reliable employee. In 2013, he was promoted to Head of Operations, in recognition of his hard work. He ably managed the division, which also oversaw the Administration department of the bank.

During his time at Guaranty Trust Bank (Rwanda) Ltd, Richard was part of several instrumental projects, which included the implementation of the new core banking system, harmonizing operation of all branches, and initiating key corporate social responsibility initiatives.

As circumstances of his passing are still unclear, the Bank requests “ you to be patient as due process from the investigating authorities is followed. We will communicate further when we have more information.”
