The grenade has been found behind the church by people who were building a toilet yesterday afternoon.
Toilet diggers immediately alerted local leaders and security personnel.Soldiers reached the place in the evening hours and worked on a plan of removing it.
The police spokesperson of Kigali city,SP Emmanuel Hitayezu has said they are in the process of seeking a solution.
