{Good governance is a key to development, that’s why it should be supported by everyone; this was revealed by the Governor of the southern province while addressing local leaders and residents during an official launch of Good governance month in Nyamagabe district.

The month was launched Tuesday 11th November 2013.
Alphone Munyentwari called upon the public to be aware of good governance as he thanked the district of Nyamagabe for organizing this day.
Munyentwari also reminded residents that good leadership is a key to good standards of living and rapid development of the country.
He also added “that where there is good leadership, there is security and without it nothing can be achieved easily”.
According to the governor, topics to be discussed during this month were set and they are important because they all aim at the development of Rwanda, Justice, security and unity and reconciliation between Rwandans.
Some of the topics that will be discussed during this period will resume from 5th November to 12th December 2013.
Every category of leadership will be visiting, discussing and settling conflicts between the public.
Every week was programmed with a main topic of discussion, but there are some other issues which will be embarked on this month and some of them include, solving conflicts in public, Umurenge Kagame cup annual tournament as they were reminded by the district Mayor Mugisha Philbert.
He added that, there are some issues that will crosscut with others during this week and some of them include, conflict resolutions, Umurenge Kagame cup tournament which will proceed until the beginning of next year of 2014.
According to the news from Nyamagabe district, every week will be backed by an issue and topic of concentration.
The first week will concentrate on the issue of putting efforts and sensitizing the public on Medical insurance and savings, the second week will concentrate on security, the third on justice and fighting corruption, the fourth will discuss on unity and reconciliation and promotion of “ndi umunyarwanda” project sensitization, then the last week will concentrate on the end of month public social work (umuganda).
This year Nyamagabe district will have two month of celebrating good leadership until February next year.
