The young man’s body was seen with a rope around the neck on Sunday 21st August 2022 inside a house in the backyard of parents’ home.
Residents learnt about his death as parents forced their way into the house after repeated knocks without response.
“I heard parents calling him around 5 .a.m. but the young man did not respond. They broke the door of the house in which he lived. I went to see what happened and found him hanging with a rope around the neck. Parents said that they last saw the young man on Saturday around 1.p.m,” a resident told IGIHE.
The Executive Secretary of Manyagiro, Joseph Rusizana has also confirmed the incident.
He revealed that the young man who worked as a porter and farm labourer had no records of indiscipline.
His body was taken to Byumba Hospital for postmortem.
