Gatsibo District is to embark on using the saving and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs) while collecting taxes among small scale taxpayers.
The move is to curb corruption between tax payers and tax collectors.
Kapiteni Athar, the Vice-President of Gatsibo District Advisory committee confirmed to IGIHE that the District resolved to avoid mistakes of embezzling taxes that were slowing down the development of the District.
However the provincial authority will have to sign the decision before being implemented.
