Gatsibo Residents Commend VUP Efforts

{{Residents of Gatsibo district have commended efforts by an anti poverty program that has helped uplift many from poverty.}}

The Government of Rwanda put in place a Vision 2020 Umurenge Programme (VUP) as an Integrated Local Development Program to Accelerate Poverty Eradication, Rural Growth, and Social Protection.

Undoubtedly, the VUP has brought changes to recover local residents from poverty.

Mutuyeyezu, a widow from Mugera cell and VUP beneficiary has told media that she was once a casual labourer but now she employs workers in her plantation and others to take care of her livestock-thanks to VUP.
