{Rwandan Ambassador to Gambia, Gerald Ntwari, yesterday presented letter of credence to the vice president and Women’s Affairs minister, Her Excellency Aja Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy, at State House in Banjul.}
Three other ambassadors namely their Excellences Moulaye Aly Kalil Ascofare of Mali; Jong-Woen Shin of South Korea; and Mme K. Aline Kaola Kabore of Burkina Faso also presented thei credentials.
The latest batch of diplomats will all be based in Dakar, Senegal.
Speaking to the State House press corps shortly after presenting his credentials, the Rwandan diplomat, for his part, described relations between his country and The Gambia as “excellent”.
“We need to consolidate it through dynamic diplomacy and economically and I have suggested this to the vice president,” he stated.
He disclosed that the VP was very much appreciative of the relationship between the two countries and that she registered her readiness to contribute towards that. “I think the Gambian people are also ready to support her,” he added.
