French Justice Closes Investigations on Simbikangwa Case

{{The French Justice has closed investigations for three weeks in the case of Capt. Pascal Simbikangwa, a former Rwandan officer in the Central Intelligence, prosecuted for his role in the 1994 genocide.}}

The file could be the first trial ever organized in France to those who played role in the 1994 genocide against Tutsis.

A month was given to the prosecution to present its closing arguments, which specify the charges against Simbikangwa as well as civil parties and the defense to submit any queries.

The case will then be forwarded for judgment.

Simbikangwa Pascal, 53, was arrested in Mayotte using counterfeit papers for the travel.

It is four years that he has been in detention without trial.
