Four Suspects Arrested over Theft of Electric Cables

EWSA noted that cables worth Frw 10Million have been stolen from different sectors in the district.

On June 28, four suspects were arrested while uprooting the electric cables.

“We have lost a lot of money, this is unacceptable. Power is constantly cut off due to theft of cables and we need everybody’s collaboration. The theft has affected our relationship with clients,” said EWSA official Prosper Mubera Birori.

Supt. Emmanuel Karuranga, Eastern Region Police spokesman, confirmed that the four suspects are being held at Kibungo police station.
