Former Kabarondo Mayor Arrested in France

{{Titus Barahirwa, 61 a Rwandan fugitive in France has been re-arrested at a neighbourhood in Mirail in Toulouse.

Barahirwa is accused of Genocide crimes committed in 1994 during which a million lives were lost.}}

He has been re-arrested by officials in France’s Specialists Division of Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes.

According to sources Barahirwa was former mayor of Kabarondo in the former Kibungo prefecture in present-day eastern province, would be paraded before the Tribunal de Grande Instance of Paris.

He was arrested in March 2011 as a result of an extradition request from Rwanda after they issued a warrant for his arrest on August 31, 2009 for genocide, direct and public incitement to commit genocide and crimes against humanity.

He was released on bail but after thorough investigations, the Judge ordered his re-arrest.
