{{The Executive Secretary of National Commission for the Fight against Genocide , Mucyo Jean de Dieu has urged foreigners living in Rwanda to observe the commemoration of the 19th genocide against Tutsi.}}
Mucyo was Tuesday speaking at a preparatory workshop to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
He referred to foreigners who leave the country during the mourning period, especially during the first week of commemoration adding that some Rwandan youth prefer to go Bujumbura or Kampala as a way to escape commemoration activities.
”The commemoration of the genocide is not only the case of the Rwandan government and survivors. We fight against the genocide at the same time fighting against this scourge worldwide. Everyone should be part of Commemoration “said Mucyo.
The 19th anniversary theme is “Commemorating the Genocide against the Tutsi, fighting for self-reliance”.
