{The Minister of Justice, Johnston Busingye has requested professional and non-professional court bailiffs and notaries to execute court decisions and judgments basing on provisions of the law other than emotions. }
The Minister has made the call today as he administered oaths to 68 professional and non-professional court bailiffs and notaries from across the country.
“Some individuals decline to concede and respect court decisions and complain through the media that unfair judgments were and court bailiffs cited in mishandling some issues” he said.
The minister advised the bailiffs to keep all records and contracts and present them whenever asked to present them.
Statistics indicate that there are about 400 professional bailiffs including those sworn in today. Non-professional court bailiffs are 2627 including 30 district executive secretaries, 416 sector executive secretaries ,2147 cell executive secretaries, three from the Ministry of Justice ,one at the Ombudsman Office and others in MAJ 30.
