Fire has destroyed property worth millions at Simba super market in the city center.
The incident happened during night hours March 19th, 2013 at 1am.
James Gasana one of the owners of Simba Simba Supermarket told IGIHE that “Fire broke out in the area where fridges are stored.β
Gasana said the loses caused by the fire are estimanted in the range of between Frw30M and Frw40M (Approx.US$ 60,000).
βIt is quite possible that the cause of the fire was due to short circuit,”Gasana said.
“This fire will not prevent us from opening the doors to our customers,” he told IGIHE.
CORAR as the Insurer of Simba Supermarket is trying to evaluate the losses caused by the fire.
