{Rebels of the Self proclaimed Democratic Forces for the liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) use fake bible verses as the technique to hold Rwandan refugees from returning home before “God’s promise” with them is fulfilled.}
The FDLR’s message through the forged bibles affects refugees psychologically so that they do not return without the country backs into the hands of these rebels accused of committing the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
Refugees are divided into religious groups in which they maintain that Rwanda is a land of the promise that they should fight to overthrow its Government that they said is made of Tutsis.
Former fighters who have returned to Rwanda revealed that they name their groups in accordance with their psychological thinking where some groups are called Yezu Ntunsige (Don’t Leave Me Jesus), Mushumba Mwiza (Good Shepherd), etc
Rebels who have surrendered and returned to Rwanda confirm that FDLR’s ideology is based on ethnicity and divisionism which led Rwanda into the Genocide where a million of Tutsis were killed.
Gen. Mbabazi Jean Paul formerly known as Ndugu Jean Paul in FDLR has said that he took the decision to peacefully return home after finding that the rebels’ ideology is based on ethnicity and divisionism.
“After finding that their ideology is not different from that one which led Rwanda into the Genocide, I decided to leave that group and return to my country.” Mbabazi told Isange mu banyu Radio show aired on Radio Rwanda on Tuesday evening.
