{Residents of Gishamvu sector in Huye district have accused the sector executive secretary, Emmanuel Ruti Bizimana, of destabilizing their cooperatives, negligence in addressing people’s problems and being oppressive in carrying out his duties.}
The residents petitioned the minister of local government, Francis Kaboneka as he visited them on Wednesday to publicly hear their concerns.
One day after the complaints were filed, Emmanuel Ruti Bizimana was arrested by Southern province police over alleged misappropriation of public funds.The Southern Province police spokesperson, CIP André Hakizimana has confirmed the arrest to IGIHE.
“He is under custody as investigations on misappropriating public funds meant for Girinka Munyarwanda program get underway.He was arrested yesterday evening and is detained at Ngoma police station in Huye district,” he said.
